A Man Emerged

There has always been so many different areas of baseball that were so interesting. In my lifetime I have never looked back and realized how this shaped me into the Man that I am today in major ways. Obviously my relationship with my Father became even better than it was. We do everything together and it really shows how this game molded us even stronger. Then in my last post talking about Albert and how that man is the reason that baseball was so amazing to begin with. Both of those posts lead us to here, and how baseball and the relationships and opportunities how carved me into a Man that was lead to St. Louis for college and really where the love for the game became so serious.

When I graduated I never was fully sure what I wanted to do straight out of high school. Then I got an offer to play baseball after high school and my eyes lit up beyond your imagination. Then in that moment I realized that baseball not only gave these relationships and opportunities, but also a chance for a career and lifestyle. I was doing the thing I love the most while also becoming a man. I was able to really start my life on my own and do it while becoming the person that I will be forever. This game not only created everything for me when I was a child but now as a man as well.

Over the next four years of my life I was playing baseball everyday of the year almost. I was breathing the game that brought me here and there was nothing that was going to take my mind off this sport. Even so much that not only was I playing it everyday but also planning my life around it for after college as well. So that little kid had nothing to know about the game of baseball was not all of sudden planning his life around it. That is why this story is so special because baseball is me. The man I have become every single day since I got to college was because of baseball and I do not regret a single second of this. That little kid was a man now because of this great game that the Cardinals organization gave to me. There is nothing greater than that for me and I could not be more thrilled with how this whole thing turned out. My father and our relationship, my career deciding choices, and my opportunities all were possible because of this game.
